Well, yes it is pretty gross, but it is also fascinating. Even though the topic grossed me out, I learned quite a bit about wildlife in general and a ton that I never wanted to know about roadkill. The author’s voice and storytelling woven together with facts, scientific vocabulary, and research is highly engaging. She renounces her father's ideals and joins the Bottoms, Shylock, and Nostradamus in exile. The Puritans leave and Nick tells Nigel what the soothsayer said, but neglects to tell him that it was not Nick's own idea. There is real science, real social conscience, and real empathy for our fellow animals mixed together in a lively tale that keep me riveted the entire time. Her subtitle, “A Fresh Look at Roadkill,” suggests a reason for her advice. Something Rotten!
I definitely want to read more books by her if there are any, and look into roadkill some more.This book is about people having interacting with road kill.Yes this book is about roadkill and probably one of the most fantastic books I have read. This is sure to be a book that flys off the shelves in my classroom library. A wildlife researcher with a special penchant for the animals that litter the roadways, HWhen Heather L. Montgomery sees a rattlesnake flattened on the side of the road, her first instinct is to pick it up and dissect it--she's always wanted to see how a snake's fangs retract when they close their mouths, and it's not exactly safe to poke around in a live reptile's mouth.
And it's not gross. How studying them helps humans.

Minstrel told the audience the story of two brothers Bottom, who managed the theater troupe. is a musical comedy about the first musical ever invented (this musical is a historical fiction, and not to be taken seriously). Even though I can’t imagine picking up a tire-tread-marked carcass, scientists do it all the time because it contains valuable information.Roadkill is disgusting. For being a non-fiction about dead animals, it was really inspiring! I love the author's quirky inquisitiveness and willingness to go to such lengths to find the answers she seeks. Heather Montgomery gives a warning at the beginning of Something Rotten that her book is not for squeamish souls, reckless readers, or the tenderhearted. Her subject matter ranges from snake tongues to spider silk to snail poop. He wishes there was a way to top Shakespeare, and steals from the Money Box to see a soothsayer. While geared toward middle ages,I would never have found this on my own so hurray for Blind Date With a Book! He and the troupe prepare for the show ("Something Rotten!").
