So along comes this movie and I was not sure what to expect, before going I said to friends that if it was half as good as the stage show then it would be marvelous, well it exceeded that - I would rate it at about 80% myself. The roof scene (All I Ask of You) was filled with tension you never really see in the stage version. Having never seen this in any form I did not know what to expect. The Phantom of the Opera review. With great music and stunning sets, this is the best version of the tale on film. Her hand gestures added to the mannerisms of a typical diva. Patrick Wilson and Steve Barton (Raoul) are equal in my eyes.

Theatre, Musicals. The iconic chandelier sparkles with gorgeous excess in director Laurence Connor’s reboot. The first transition into the story of the movie was absolutely fantastic, I have never seen any transitions like that.
