"...somewhat explained before Banksy turns tables and makes his own movie while making his own monster, turningWonderful, very funny, yet important film.
The film isn't so much as a documentary about Banksy but more the street art movement and in particular one strange individual with the moniker MBW. It also shows you how some artists use their art as a way to bolster or reinforce their ego, while to others it is a from of expression that they don't necessarily do for other people, even if it is in public. The main character's charisma carries you along, but he starts to wear a bit thin by the end of it. This was bought as a gift for my son-in-law who has rather oblique tastes. Brilliant documentary, watched it numerous times. "I feel good. Everyone is engaged and they always have questions, wanting to know more about the processes of the artists, how they can do this, etc. RT Comic-Con Ketchup In part it is a promotion of Banksy and his work, in part a mockery of the art consuming public. I don't know much about modern art, Banksy...or any art to be honest, but the other half does and we watched this.
It is narrated by Rhys Ifans. ...and so the show goes on......the continuing -and developing- soci-political phenomenon that Banksy displays is an interesting development of our time, where manufactured consent and 'the establishment view ' is almost unavoidable. Everything We Know About But, then Thierry really made them meaningless." Never mind, it was amusing, but as others have said, don't expect to see very much good street art. Thierry's journey wants you to rush to your computer, download and Photoshop iconic images, have them enlarged and duplicated and hurl oneself headlong to the nearest empty public wall in the dead of night with accomplisses armed with your stencils and spray cans as an act of public minded generosity, civil disobedience, blind vandalism and general rebellion against the State, power, authority and the banality of modern life! Tje film's footage contains behind the scenes of actual street outtings with Banksy, Invader even Shepard Fairey ( the real force whether it be tounge-cheek, behind much of Obama's underground success as a presidential contender). Maybe, it means art is a bit of a joke.Shepard Fairey "I do think the whole phenomenon of uh Thierry's obsession with street art, becoming a street artist, a lot of suckers buying into his show and him selling a lot of expensive art, um, very quickly. Includes footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader and many of the world's most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. But, then Thierry really made them meaningless.Banksy: "He kind of the rightful heir to Andy Warhol in a way. It was fun to watch, maybe funnier if you are au fait with the modern art world. Maybe, he got a bit lucky.
According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco and the book Home Sweet Home, Banksy "was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. There may have been clues or indications, massive great ones in fact, but if truth be told, I was having too much fun laughing. The film charts Guetta's constant documenting of his every waking moment on film, from a chance encounter with his cousin, the artist Invader, to his introduction to a host of street artists with a focus on Shepard Fairey and Banksy, whose anonymity is preserved by obscuring his face and altering his voice, to Guetta's eventual fame as a street artist himself. The movie itself is good, a very interesting window into the world of both street artists and obsessive human beings. "Most artists spend years perfecting their craft finding their style. Whoa, Keanu It's like getting asked on a date by a cute guy, only to find out you're his ugly friend's date. I don't do that so much anymore.Bansky: "I don't know what it means, Thierry is huge success and a rival in the art world. AndyWarhol made a statement by repeating famous icons until they became meaningless. Maybe, it means art is a bit of a joke.I don't know what it means, Thierry is huge success and a rival in the art world. You'lll see in the time who I will be.
