To compare this with the London musical with Karimloo as Phantom, I prefer how they didn't make Butler's Phantom's entire face scarred and even with the scarring you could see that he is otherwise very handsome. Having recently seen the stage show and totally loving every minute of it I watched this for the first time very soon after.
